Independent Mechanical and Electrical Safety Testing of MERCI® G Fume Hoods and Media Walls

For laboratory fume hoods and media walls, it is essential that the equipment performs its function reliably over the long term and is safe for operators. For this reason, MERCI carries out independent testing of products in the MERCI® G series to verify mechanical durability, electrical safety, selected acoustic parameters and electromagnetic compatibility requirements. The test results are important for development, manufacturing, service and maintenance, and at the same time provide objective confirmation that the equipment complies with the required parameters and technical documentation.

The tests make it possible to verify that the fume hood and media wall operate correctly and that their parameters are in line with the documentation, manufacturer requirements and applicable legislative regulations. Without such testing, the risk of incorrect operating procedures, equipment damage or endangering the health of operating personnel would increase.

Scope of Testing

The project includes testing focused on the safety and performance of laboratory fume hoods, verification of functional parameters, selected acoustic properties of the equipment, mechanical and electrical safety, and assessment of electromagnetic compatibility.

When purchasing laboratory equipment, some differences are not apparent at first glance – they only become evident during long-term operation and everyday use.

Outputs and Benefits

The outputs of the project will be test reports confirming that laboratory equipment under the MERCI® brand (fume hoods and media walls) is fully functional, reliable, resistant to the declared loads and safe.

For customers and designers, the test results provide a clear and verifiable basis: the equipment is assessed through measurement and its properties are documented by independent records. For MERCI, the results also serve as a basis for continuous refinement of design details and for maintaining long-term reliability in real operation.
