The MERCI, s.r.o. company has been a provider of laboratory equipment since 1993. At the beginning there was the will of the founders to put their knowledge of, and experience from, this field of business to use. Eventually they found out about the need for a complex approach towards these issues, i.e. to handle projects as “turnkey” projects. Following a complicated and fast development, the company with no start-up capital and zero business experience evolved into what it represents now.

A key milestone was the company’s decision to manufacture its own brand of special-purpose laboratory furniture, including exhaust hoods and wall units. Since 2004 the company has been manufacturing these components in its own factory building and it even has its own design department whose role is to prepare manufacturing processes and to deal with research and development of new products that reflect today’s needs and demand for working conditions in all types of laboratories, as well as products that support the investors’ efforts to establish flexible, modern and energy-saving facilities.

For several years now, the company has focused on the development of a modern and energy-saving exhaust hood. The company operates its own design centre for the purpose of design activities and technology projects. Its assets include a team of trained experts in a broad scope of laboratory-related issues. The company cooperates with hundreds of manufacturers of special-purpose laboratory equipment and pilot equipment, as well as with numerous specialised Czech and foreign contractors.

This activity is very demanding in terms of its scope and the need for extensive knowledge in many fields that experience constant and dynamic development. Furthermore, it is essential to monitor all changes to legislation and regulations, as the company’s activities and their results are related to the subsequent use of numerous dangerous substances, production of pharmaceuticals, radioactive material handling, etc.
The company enjoys a strong position on the Czech and Slovak markets and it also attempts to succeed on foreign markets, in order to exploit its extensive knowledge and expertise. Its unique approach and high level of expertise and maximum complexity have won the company most major projects in the respective business sector. Out of hundreds of references the company especially values the provision of equipment for laboratories of the Masaryk University campus in Brno or for the University of Pardubice campus; the provision of laboratory equipment for the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague, or equipment for the laboratories of the Znojmo hospital, or equipment for service and control laboratories (and the related harmonised methodologies) for the Hill’s company in Hustopeče, etc.
